What we explore
Education
Learning through direct experience: workshops, schools, colleges, conversations and field practice.
Education at Common Ground is not a course catalogue. It is learning through direct experience. Workshops. Time with schools and colleges. Conversations. Field practice. A person tries a thing, and then we write what happened.
Schools and colleges are a specific door. Natural building, habitat, earthful crafts, community practices. A class can come to the work, or the work can be shaped for a visit. What is included, how long, and what it costs are confirmed by enquiry. They are not printed here as if they were stable.
Common Conversation is the name for recorded discussions and a podcast line. It belongs with education because a good conversation is a classroom that does not pretend to be one. Episodes are linked when they are public. This site does not embed a feed it does not control.
The pedagogical bet is simple. People remember what their hands did. They also remember a question that was left open. Both belong in the record.
In practice
- Workshops as learning, not entertainment
- School and college field visits
- Common Conversation, when a recording is public
- Field notes written so a student can reuse the question
Related experiment and experiences sit one step away. If you want to try something, write. If you want to understand it first, keep reading.
